Scott joined Spirit Energy as Technical Services & HSES Director in April 2023. He is a chartered process engineer with 30 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, the most recent eight years being spent with CNOOC, latterly as Vice President - Major Projects. With a broad experience across functions and assets around the globe, Scott has a strong track record in engineering, drilling, projects and operations leadership.

Scott joined Elf/Total in 1993 and, during his time with them. fulfilled leadership, operations, engineering and project roles both onshore and offshore in the UK and Middle East. His final role with Total was Field Manager for the Al Khalij field in Qatar.

In 2007, Scott was appointed Operations Director with Mechserv, a company specialising in oilfield equipment design and manufacture and in 2014, left the company following its sale to Axon Well Interventions Ltd with whom he fulfilled the position of Managing Director for three years.

Scott joined CNOOC International (Nexen) in 2014 as Buzzard Field Manager and also held the positions of General Manager Technical Services, BP Business Services and VP Major Projects.
