Spirit Energy has submitted its Environmental Statement for the Pegasus West development.

Spirit Energy has submitted its Environmental Statement for the Pegasus West development to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, launching a public consultation on the plans.

The submission of the Environmental Statement is a key milestone in progressing Pegasus West towards final sanction and full development.

In advance of final sanction expected in Q1 2022, the Environmental Statement sets out the steps Spirit Energy will take to mitigate any impact of the development on the surrounding area. Should the Environmental Statement be approved and Pegasus West be sanctioned, first gas from the field would in 2024.
